The BSU Hosted February’s Bean Scene

On February 13th, the Black Student Union hosted the band “SolVibe” at the Bean Scene in the Falcon Center.

Given that February is Black History Month, the Black Student Union hosted different events around campus. During the “SolVibe” performance, they performed a variety of songs that consisted of both covers and original songs. It lasted around two hours with a short break in the middle. As usual, the hosts provided free snacks and beverages for the attendees.

Many of the Black Student Union members came to enjoy the show including Jasha Washington and Shakayla Plaisir.

“I think it’s great that we can get people together especially for Black History Month. It’s fun, especially tonight” said Jasha Washington.

“As a member of the Black Student Union, February is very important and it’s nice to take time for these events and for people to showcase their talents. The show tonight was amazing, and I am looking forward to the upcoming events later this month” said Shakayla Plaisir.

There were seven events left in the month after the Bean Scene that are sponsored by the Black Student Union. The members encouraged students to come down and participate in the rest of the events.
