NBA All-Star Weekend

The National Basketball League (NBA) has been a blur so far this year. With the NBA finals not ending until the middle of October due to a delay because of Covid-19. It was very different because the 2020 season was just ending at the time that the 2020-2021 season would start. With that happening, the NBA season didn’t start until late December this year.

There has been a lot of speculation on whether the NBA All-Star game should be played this year. Of course, the fans want to see one but there was a big safety concern, and the players didn’t know if their bodies would be up for the extra game. However, this is still a large amount of excitement backing th2021 All-Star game. There’s been plenty of standouts this season especially with first time All-Stars: Julius Randle, Zach Lavine, Jaylen Brown, and Zion Williamson.

The NBA All-Star game will be played on March 7, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. The All-Star game is headlining a whole weekend of events including the dunk contest, three-point contest, and the skills challenge. This will be a very entertaining weekend in Atlanta! Fairmont State students are encouraged to watch this huge game that is packed with some of the best athletes in the world like Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Don’t hesitate to tune into the other events as well. This will be a chance for Fairmont State students to see their favorite players from their hometown teams or their favorite teams in general. The game will be aired at 8 pm Eastern Time on TNT
