Paint Night

On Wednesday, January 22, 2019 a “Paint Night” was held in the Falcon Center conference rooms at 7 p.m.

The “Paint Night” was an event on campus that became popular last semester when it was known as the “Paint and Sip”. It is a campus event that occurs usually once a month in the Falcon Center, where students come down and there is an art instructor there to paint a themed picture step by step. Also, free snacks and beverages are always available at the “Paint Night” events.

Last semester the pieces that were painted included an owl, a rainbow tree, and a “spooky” house. This time, the students were able to spend their time painting a snowman. These paint nights allow the students to hang out in the evening, have some fun, eat some food, and relax.

“I like participating in them because I feel like it’s a great stress reliever after a long day of classes. It’s a great creative outlet too” said Kiersten Lowdermilk, a Fairmont State student that was able to attend.

Hannah McNemar also enjoyed the “Paint Night”. She said “I think the paint nights are very fun and a good distraction”.

There will be more paint nights throughout the semester but as of right now the dates are TBD.
