SGA meeting cut short due to no quorum

At 12:32 p.m., on January 23, 2020, SGA met for the second time of the 2020 semester.

President Tyler Keller walked into the room to find not many members were in attendance and informed those there that the meeting would be short because there was no quorum.

Treasurer Becky Luketic informed the assembly that SGA were tending to fundraiser requests to the best of the organization’s ability. Also, Luketic spoke of the work she and another assembly member are doing with the Student Success Society to update the furniture in the library to appear more appealing.

Dr. Harrison delivered sad news when he told the assembly that Advisor Joel Dugan had stepped down as the primary SGA Advisor, no reason was given by the organization. Dr. Harrison is now temporary advisor until a replacement can be found.

Next week, SGA will begin the nomination process for the Executive Board Vice President and Faculty Senate vacancies.

During Fairmont State Day, on February 25th, those setting up tables at the capital in Charleston will be academic organizations.

The meeting adjourned at 12:42 p.m.
