Fairmont State University’s Student Life held laser tag for students to attend on campus on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Student Life hosted the event in Gym 2 of the Falcon Center from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Fairmont State University students played laser tag, set up by TiohnE Productions, free of charge. TiohnE Productions set up an indoor laser tag obstacle field full of inflatables and strobe lights for students to play in.
Students gathered around the sign-up desk at 8:00 p.m., patiently waiting for the first round to begin. As time went on, more excited students arrived to play laser tag with their friends. Students ran around the obstacle arena with music blaring until each session ended. After each round, many students hopped back in line to play again. Many students expressed their approval of the indoor event. Kiersten Gardner, a Fairmont State University student, said “That was a lot of fun!”
There are a variety of events that take place on campus to interest students. However, this event earned popularity with the students in attendance. Another Fairmont State University student, Nathan Tolliver said, “I would love to do the laser tag more!”
Students signed up using their student identification number and name to participate in laser tag. The event consisted of multiple solo and team rounds that could support up to twelve players per session. Each round began with a TiohnE Productions employee explaining the equipment and rules of the game. They ended with a declaration of each winner before the new players entered the course.
