Introducing the NEST
The Nest is a food bank for students in need at Fairmont State University. The mission of the Nest is to provide these students with resources like food and hygiene products. The Nest is open to all current students, but you will need to bring a valid student ID when visiting. This service is located on the second floor in the Falcon Center, right next to the Falcon Commons entrance and the Student Government Association office. Although hours vary from semester to semester, the current hours of operation are:
Monday: 8 a.m. – 12:45 a.m. / 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. / 4:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Items that the Nest carries include canned foods, boxed meals, grab n’ go snacks, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, and soap. If you’re interested in donating to the Nest, they are more than happy to take non-perishable items and flip-top cans. There are multiples ways to donate! You can drop off the items at the Nest during the hours of operation, at the reception desk, or online via Amazon. If the Nest happens to be closed, do not skip a meal!
