FSU Total Wellness Tuesdays
Wellness Wednesday rebranded, Total Wellness Tuesday (TWT), kicked off the semester with three wellness events including “New Year New You: Goal Setting” and “Stalking Awareness.”
As a weekly event in the Falcon Center, TWT brings in different representatives from around campus to provide information about a variety of topics.
These representatives are “experts in their own areas” said Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, Spencer Flanagan.
On average, there are around 36 students that visit the tables in one day. However, there has been as many as 70 students. Having urged students to spare some time for visiting tables and gather information, Flanagan said “It is a success; a lot of people participate.”
When asked to state his favorite part of the Total Wellness Tuesday program, Flanagan said “seeing other faculty and staff participate and be excited”. He also mentioned that it is nice to see and interact with the students.
Given that the American National Health Observance topic for February is Heart Health, most of the weekly topics are centered around that observance. However, not all topics correspond with the National Health Observance of the month. Instead, some fairs add other needed topics.
