Aull Center Halloween Events

As October begins to wind up, for those anticipating Halloween The Aull Center has spooky events for all.

The Aull Center, located on Spruce Street and next to the library in downtown Morgantown, WV, is home to about 100 years of Monongalia County history. It is an adjunct facility to the library itself, and all are welcome to visit and peruse through the past.

On October 22, the Aull Center held a live re-enactment reading of Edgar Alan Poe literature. West Virginia University grad student and theater major Liam Holton, who portrayed the “Master of the Macabre”, performed at the Aull Center. When asked why he decided to participate in the event, Holton claimed that “It seemed like a great opportunity to celebrate the spooky season.” If you missed his performance, listen to his rendition of “The Tell-Tale Heart” on The Dominion Post’s podcast at https://www.dominionpost.com/2019/10/21/listen-haunted-history-month-the-tell-tale-heart/

Upcoming events for the month of October at the Aull Center include “Morgantown Ghost Stories” with Jason Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28th and “The Bizarre Story of Peter Hauer: Innocent Victim or Murderer?” At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29th.
