SGA aids Student Organizations
Due to President Tyler Keller’s absence, the meeting started at 12:31 p.m. with Vice President Dillion Bradley commencing the meeting. While tending to upcoming business, SGA donated $800 to two campus organizations.
Secretary Rachel Fitzwater began business by asking for nominations for homecoming king and queen. A couple were nominated and can soon be voted upon. In addition, five members were nominated for the Faculty Senate Officer position.
A representative from the Black Student Union Organization (BSU) asked for $400 aid the alumni ceremony that is held during homecoming. Assistant advisor for SGA, Dr. Harrison also asked for $400 to allocate funds for the Model United Nations (MUN) trip to New York in April.
Vice President Bradley reminded the assembly that it is mandatory for members to attend the clock tower dedication and that it will take place in front of the Turley Center at the end of the month.
Before the meeting adjourned at 12:49 p.m., SGA noted that Fairmont State University’s Maroon and White day is November 2nd, and SGA will have a table set up for the visitors in the Falcon Center for the event.
