Students should note that the Academic Affairs Committee will be hosting a textbook affordability meeting in the near future. This meeting aims to ensure more affordable textbooks for Fairmont State University students.

SGA Treasurer Becky Luketic announced that her sorority raised over $1,000 for a cancer support group. The check was presented to breast cancer survivor Regina Stephens during the halftime break of the Frostburg State University vs. Fairmont State University football game.

In addition to the previous business reviewed in the meeting, SGA announced that they will be hosting the “Hardway Haunt” on October 30, 2019. Each room on the first floor of Hardway Hall will feature a different Halloween-themed activity.

The last motion to be discussed was the nomination of SGA’s Parliamentarian. Secretary Rachel Fitzwater nominated Vice President Dillion Bradley to be SGA’s new Parliamentarian. After the motion was seconded, Bradley accepted the new position. This process concluded the meeting at 12:53 p.m.
