Nita Richards
Nita Richards is a Senior at Fairmont State with a major in English and a minor in Journalism. Not only does she juggle being a full-time, non-traditional student, but she is also a wife of 32 years and the mother of two kids. Her hobbies include cooking, croquet, she is a book lover and a writer.
One of the things that led Nita back to Fairmont State was her daughter who saw the potential in her mother to be an excellent student. A highlight of Fairmont State for Nita is how journalism has taught her a different way of writing. “I learned that once I try a different way of writing, I enjoy it, most of the time,” said Richards. Nita resides in the Fairmont area with her husband and her dog Barney and turtle Mikita.
